Riverside Memorial Cemetery was Aberdeen, South Dakota's first cemetery.  Built in the 1880's, it houses prominent Aberdonian families as well as others, such as those hung before City Hall.  As of November 6, 1909, Emil Victor was the last to be hung for the murder of three people.

Many have seen apparitions appear spontaneously throughout the cemetery and there have been reports of strange sounds.  One witness said as they left the cemetery late at night they could hear what sounded to them as the grinding of a tomb cover either shuffling into place or out of place.

The area is also rich with Native American spirituality and some say that you can see spirits peeking out at you from behind trees and large monuments.

Riverside Cemetery was SD Paranormal's first investigation.  We had ordered but had not received yet out true equipment, so we were stuck with what we had on hand.  A Sony Mini-DVD Camcorder and an Android phone with Milligaus and recording capabilities, as well as a digital camera.  What we lacked in the technology department made up for in the evidence.  The video below shows some of the evidence.

Better quality can be seen under our Evidence menu.
